We want to hear from you whether you’re a first-time amateur performer or a seasoned professional across the gamut of comedy, cabaret, burlesque, music, theatre, dance, kids, choir or classical. If you’ve been to Newcastle Fringe before, we’d love to have you again, and if you’ve never performed here, then it’s about time you did!
Artist applications are only open for seven weeks or until we receive 200 shows. All applications are to be submitted via Eventotron. Eventotron is used by some of the biggest (and smallest) Fringe Festivals around the world and can be used to promote your show and find other opportunities to perform. To get started, just head over to eventotron.com, log in with your existing account or create a new one and then click on ‘Festivals and Seasons’ at the top of the page to find Newcastle Fringe.
What do artists need to know?
The non-refundable registration fee is $300 for 2 shows, $400 for 3 shows and $500 for 4 shows. Our choir day registration is $125 per group. (This registration fee goes towards our venue, tech and marketing costs). When you apply, you will not be accepted into the festival until all the information is captured in Eventotron and the applicable fee is paid.
You decide your ticket price. We recommend $20 – $30 but the range can be from $10 to $39. Artists receive 75% of net box office takings and that’s better than most, if not all, fringe festivals.
