Each year there is an opportunity to become a volunteer of the Newcastle Fringe. Volunteers can provide the fringe with critical skills in the months leading up to the festival such as marketing and promotional distribution, artist and venue liaison, event planning, etc. When the fun actually begins there is a fabulous opportunity for some lucky volunteers to work front of house – taking and selling tickets, bump-ins, and bump-outs, and assisting at the venue with the audience.
Volunteering with Newcastle Fringe provides a fabulous experience in the arts industry and is a great addition to any C.V. Social engagement and community connection are additional benefits to volunteering. In 2021 volunteers received a free ticket to a show of their choice for every 3-hour shift they worked. A similar arrangement is in place each year. 18+ only.
