Newcastle Fringe Festival has been running annually since 2016 and represents a unique opportunity for the Hunter community to be involved either as artists themselves or in support of our culture. The arts is society’s way of expressing itself and a fringe festival is by nature open access, which means that anyone can perform.
It provides artists just starting out or those that aren’t mainstream, with a way to connect to audiences and earn a living. It tends to be raw and edgy, affordable and exciting.
The festival is run entirely by volunteers on a shoe-string budget and we punch way above our weight. We are keen to hear from you if you wish to volunteer, become a member, a sponsor or partner or if you wish to donate – the fringe is an incorporated not-for-profit association.
