Heathens & Hunter Singers
The Heathens (40 performers) with The Hunter Singers (25 performers)

The Heathens is an oblique reference to where this community choir is based (Blackheath in the Blue Mountains, NSW), not an expression of spiritual predilections. Founded in 2009 by Christine Wheeler, feast on a mixture of folk, world and popular music arrangements.

Hunter Singers is Newcastle's own highly acclaimed children's choir dedicated to nurturing and developing young voices and promoting Australian choral music. Established in 1989 under the direction of Kim Sutherland OAM, there are currently 25 singers from secondary schools in the region. The Hunter Singers regularly perform at the Sydney Opera House and tour internationally. What a double treat!
